CAPITAL PUNISHMENT OR CAPITAL LOVE?

History has taught us that there are two sides to each story. When it comes to capital punishment, which side are you on? or, which side will you choose when you finish this blog? This is up to you. However, you will take a position, you will side one way or the other. Either with God's unconditional love or with man's theory of capital punishment.

Hey, do you remember when God commanded the Israelites to wipe out the Amalekites in the Old Testament? Was God unfair? I don't believe so. The Amalekites were the bitter enemies of God's people and they were bent on destroying God's people from the face of planet earth. God Himself, ordered their execution. That was harsh, would you say? I don't believe so. That was capital punishment. Osama Bin Laden was bent on killing innocent people even his own people, the man was a crazy fanatic and a lunatic who worshipped his own ideology and rationale to the detriment of society and innocent people. He did not represent Muslims and their faith. I have many Muslims friends, and, they are lovely people, wonderful friends. They do not agree with Osama's belief at all neither do they follow extremism. They are well-balanced people. Now, one question that may emerge from this post is this, should anyone who kills someone or many people be put to death? My personal take, I don't think so. There are people who have killed before and who now understand after the fact, that their action was villain and cruel and have repented of their sin. So, if you are on death row and reading this post, do not think for a moment that God has abandoned you and that you have no mercy with Him. He is not willing that any should perish. He loves you and that despite of the decision of the jail where you are, His love is unconditional and far reaching. You are not exempt from His love. Come unto Him even now, He will forgive you if you confess your sins to Him. He knows your heart and the intents inside. Just accept His offer of grace and mercy.

The Bible said, God will destroy those who destroy the nations. When someone comes to the point to believe that killing people randomly is God's call, the mind has already been degenerated into a beast's mentality and their place is no longer among the living. In my opinion, what our President, the Honorable Obama has ordered, which is the killing of Osama Bin Laden, is fair and just and is for the protection of human lives and the security of the American people and all human beings across the globe. The world will be better off without Osama Bin laden. In my view, this has been one of the greatest American acts on the face of planet earth and will go down in history as the most significant work of this administration. God knew why He brought President Obama to the White House. And, unlike what the critics say, President Obama is the best in the business of the Presidency. Now, back to our lesson. Unike some inmates that are on death row for acts they did not commit or for actions they are very sorry about, Osama knew what he did and was intent on repeating the same and do even worse in the future.

You see, God is not willing that any should perish but, that all should come to repentance. This is Biblical and this is God's will. However, will all come to repentance? Some will choose death instead of life, and, God has to honor their choice as part of His capital love. Look, I don't rejoice when anyone dies, but capital punishment is also Biblical. Hell is a form of capital punishment. The people that will be destroyed in it have made a choice to be there. God, in His love, has made provisions for no one to be in hell. However, many will reject his offer of mercy and choose death. Why should you die? He invites you, even now to come to Him for mercy. God loves you and me and He wants us to choose life over death, truth over error, Jesus over Satan. A choice is inevitable and, God is patiently waiting for you. What will you say? What will you do? What is your next move? How will you decide? Will you make one more excuse to backup or defend your position in sin? His grace is efficacious, His mercy is availing for you regardless of your past. He will accept you just as you are. This is His promise. And, He has and will keep His word. You can take His word to the bank and cash it right now. His word will never change. He said, "he that cometh to Me, in no wise, will I cast him out." He said, "come unto me all you that labor and are heavy laden, I will give you rest."
